The appointment is for one year, subject to renewal based on research progress and the availability of funds.
A candidate with experience in cell culture, receptor binding and radioactivity based assays are required.
Conduct experiments in molecular biological, chemical, and tissue culture-related disciplines, with duties ranging from simple set-up and routine processing to complex specialized modifications involving scheduling with other personnel, sample collection, sample preparation, cell culture, preparation of CB1, CB2, mu, kappa, and delta receptors, instrument adjustments, appropriate control checks and interpretation, computer-assisted data analysis, statistical analysis, and report preparation.
Perform specialized laboratory research tests and maintain detailed written records of laboratory experiments and a computer database of detailed experimental results.
Duties may include handling of biological, chemical, or physical (e.g. radiation) hazards that require specialized on-site training.
Possessing a background in animal pharmacology are desired since this position will interact closely with animal pharmacologists.
Master’s of Science degree (MS) with laboratory experience in molecular biology and cell culture.
Experience in cell culture, receptor binding and radioactivity based assays are required.
