The incumbent will serve as a pharmacist and will perform as a pharmacy consultant and actively provide authoritative
professional guidance on pharmaceutical problems of difficult or unusual nature. Will function in the general clinical and
distributive aspects of the pharmacy in this active
which provides a variety of acute medical, psychiatric,
ventilator dependent, chemically dependent, long term care, dental and outpatient programs and consultant oriented services.
Patients cared for range in age from young adult, middle aged, geriatric and old-old.
Highly prefer experience with oncology and surgery parenteral therapy in health system settings.
1) U.S. Citizen
2) Graduate of a degree program in pharmacy from an approved college or university. The degree program must have been approved by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE), or prior to the establishment of ACPE, have been a member of the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP).
3) Full, current and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in a State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States (i.e., Puerto Rico), or the District of Columbia
4) English Proficiency
One (1) year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in Federal Service or have completed an ACPE-accredited PharmD program.
Salary will be determined by the VISN Pharmacy Professional Standards Board

Receiving Service Credit for Earning Annual (Vacation) Leave:
Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee. VA may offer newly-appointed Federal employees credit for their job-related non-federal experience or active duty uniformed military service. This credited service can be used in determining the rate at which they earn annual leave.
