The Creative Team Lead is a key member of the creative leadership team for CreativeSource, part of Creative Business Solutions (CBS). Creative Business Solutions provides a suite of shared services (creative, production, events, travel and research), designed to drive productivity, and enable business units/centers of excellence to focus on key business objectives. The Creative Team Lead - Production provides leadership and expertise to develop creative solutions that meet client objectives, while adhering to all TCCC standards and guidelines (e.g. IT, Portal, brand and visual identity).
The position supervises a team of internal associates, contractors and vendors, and manages those resources to enable a break even business model. The Creative Lead develops standards and processes, and makes decisions and recommendations on vendors, software, hardware, pipeline and other aspects. In addition, the Creative Lead provides creative direction on all projects and drives client relationships and satisfaction. The Production Team Lead focuses specifically on production capabilities and expertise for all projects, and will work collaboratively with Team Leads in other areas of the creative workflow: Design, Content and Copy, Technology and Traffic as well as vendors and suppliers.Function Specific Activities:Execution: Review all project requests and collaborate with other members of the creative leadership team to develop overall concept.
Initiate work and coordinate progress of project with the Traffic Lead, execute using all standard processes and routines (project open, estimate, and schedule). Develop and communicate written creative briefs that clearly articulate communication objectives and success criteria. Review and approve all projects prior to review with Creative Strategy Manager and/or client. Collaborate with Client Relationship Manager (CRMs) on CBS multi-function programs, as appropriate.Resource and vendor management: Develop and maintain a network of top quality external resources, which can be combined with internal resources, to create a flexible resource model.
Manage resource pool to meet targeted billable utilization to optimize costs. Provide on-going coaching and feedback to internal associates and contractors. Assist in hiring and performance management routines. Conduct regular business reviews with creative agencies, suppliers, and others; assess performance through client satisfaction reviews, external benchmarking and other key performance metrics.
Ensure vendors are authorized and aligned with TCCC procurement processes and systems. Bid projects as appropriate given level of spend and as timeline allows.Process improvement: Collaborate with Creative Strategy Manager to develop a strategy for area of responsibility. Establish standards and procedures to track and measure project's progression; continuously improve processes as required. Drive cost effectiveness and productivity for client, while still meeting business model targets.Client Satisfaction: Strengthen client relationship and build client confidence through execution, proactive thinking, problem solving, and demonstrated expertise.
Assist in assessing client satisfaction survey results and developing action plans. Build strong internal partnerships that facilitate more effective creative and execution (e.g. Global Marketing, IT)Education: Bachelor’s Degree, Fine Arts preferredRelated Work Experience: 6+ years of experience working as senior/lead production and/or production director. Experience working on leading in-house teams or with production/meetings/events agency is preferred.
Active participation in appropriate industry associations is expected. Proficient in use of Adobe CS, Microsoft Office and other production related software.
