Avionics Technician (3 shift, Mon-Fri)-DAL00272
Troubleshoot and perform complex electrical repairs. Perform inspection, make adjustment , replace components, and correct any malfunction or deficiency with and without power applied to the aircraft. Perform maintenance on customer aircraft in accordance with applicable technical data, Inspection Procedures Manual (IPM) and FAA/JAA regulations. Access, remove and re-install aircraft components including mechanical and electrical which obstruct the performance of assigned tasks. Assist with repairs on off-aircraft components such as switch panels, circuit breaker panels, and junction boxes. Perform mechanical and electrical removals and installations. Assist A&P Technician in troubleshooting aircraft. Assist A&P Technician in the operation of ground support equipment such as tugs, jacks, and electrical power cart. Document work performed per IPM, Component Installation Manual, and System Manuals. Work in shops as well as on aircraft. Fabricate parts/wire harness and install per engineering drawings.
Minimum of 2 years Avionics work experience. Working knowledge of reading and interpreting aircraft blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and manuals. Working knowledge of aircraft avionics systems. Working knowledge of wire coding system. Working knowledge of aircraft systems. Basic knowledge to perform complete engine runs. Working knowledge of manuals necessary to perform job including, but not limited to, Inspection Procedures Manual (IPM), SR Maintenance Manual and Component Installation Manual, Systems Manual, Maintenance Manuals, and various technical information necessary to perform job. Skill to fabricate and/or assemble various detail parts and componenets. Skill to operate ground support equipment as necessary to perform job. Skill to troubleshoot aircraft engine systems.
