Job Summary

The Vice-President, Sales Analytics is responsible for increasing the effectiveness of our sales force. This individual researches and evaluates current economic conditions that may affect Comdata's ability to sell our products or services in the marketplace. The VP, Sales Analytics also provides recommended changes to current sales techniques, procedures or promotional efforts based on market research and new trends.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Leads and creates the development of the proof-of-concept prototypes of new data and decision-support products
  • Works with our sales department to execute and streamline reporting processes; conducts data analysis to create insights and understanding of the markets that we serve
  • Evaluates data using various tools and statistical analysis to produce relevant insights to the business
  • Develops standards on which to formulate recommendations for current offerings with greater efficiency and/or data accuracy
  • Develops, documents, and maintains sales reporting processes and procedures
  • Acts as subject matter expert in Salesforce.com and leverages data to service internal clients
  • Provides sales leadership and field reps with required information to enhance sales productivity
  • Works closely with the IT team to build new data and decision support products

    Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Finance, Computer Science, IT, Engineering or Business Administration is required; Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years strategic data analysis and technology experience along with a minimum of five years financial analysis and report development required
  • Knowledge of Salesforce.com preferred
  • Strong technical background with a deep understanding of research systems architecture and technology
  • Demonstrated advanced data and statistical skills necessary
  • Proven track record in delivering data driven actionable recommendations required
  • Proven experience with analyzing numeric data, and the ability to determine the connection and validation of the data to measurement criteria as specified by Sales Management
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of staff and executive management
  • Strong documentation skills, coupled with critical thinking
  • Must be detail-oriented, with a commitment to above-average accuracy
  • Must possess the ability to handle multiple assignments promptly and effectively
