Project Manager (Epic)

Partner Healthcare IT is recruiting a Project Manager for Clinical Information Systems.

This position will have responsibility for managing projects in connection with the implementation of a clinical information system in a health care setting. The position will report directly to the Project Management Office Manager of the Epic Clinical Transformation Team.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Successfully complete Epic Fundamentals

2. Establish goals, define deliverables/timeframes and evaluate performance

3. Develop alternatives analysis

4. Develop and implement integration strategies

5. Develop and manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies

6. Develop, track and control implementation schedules

7. Has full accountability and responsibility for implementation of assigned projects

8. Manage internal and external resources in the specification, design, build and testing of clinical information system applications

9. Assess user requirements

10. Identify process and workflow changes required to meet the implementation goals

11. Establish standards to ensure consistency across implementations

12. Ensure scope requirements are managed via change control process

13. Track, communicate and manage implementation issues

14. Ensure compliance with all regulatory, patient safety and clinical practice standards

15. Demonstrates professional behavior when interacting with clients and coworkers

16. Performs other related duties

Minimum Experience :
  • Five or more years of project management experience in a hospital or major ambulatory care setting
  • Experience in the planning and implementation of information systems across organizations
  • Knowledge of clinical and operational hospital applications and integration strategies
  • Prefer Epic experience in Physician Documentation, OpTime and Process Improvement
General Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills and demonstrated aptitude for problem solving
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Expertise in managing multiple and varying projects
  • Possess self awareness and the ability to utilize constructive feedback to improve performance
  • Team-player who creates a positive team environment
  • Positive relationship skills such as active listening for understanding, attention to both task completion and relationship building and ability to work collaboratively with others
