We are seeking talented, enthusiastic Part Time Class A CDL Drivers who will be responsible for the safe operation of all company owned trucking equipment that will be transporting equipment from one location to another. You will also be responsible for:
Assist with the movement of commercial motor vehicles, including: tractor-trailers, straight trucks, and pick-up trucks
Fulfill all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements, including: periodic medical evaluations, completing forms for driver qualification file, and completing hours-of-service as well as vehicle inspection logs
Familiarity with proper methods and procedures for securing various cargo for transportation
Report to and receive assignments from warehouse operations dispatchers
Maintain a daily driving log and keep an accurate inventory and location of trailers
Assist foremen at show-site, as needed
Open to drive 50% of the time, and for dock work 50% of the time
Travel will be local, and occasionally regional
Now that you know what this position does, do you have the background to do the job?
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Four (4) years of experience driving a tractor-trailer
Possess a valid Class A CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with clear DOT and MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) driving records
Familiarity of and adherence to all federal motor carrier safety rules and regulations
Highly safety conscientious
Possess a valid Operator's license for vehicles 26,000 pounds and less
Possess a DOT Medical Certificate and is, at least, twenty-one (21) years of age
Excellent customer service skills, a team player, quality-oriented, dependable, and punctual
