Position is solely responsible for print and web publicity for the College of Sciences, including brochures, web, news releases, alumni newsletters, case statements, speeches, etc. Works closely with the Dean and his staff as well as the College Development Directorto develop stories and PR materials for alumni, donors, friends and constituents of the College of Sciences Position Details: Position Details Continued: Minimum/Required Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, marketing or other relevant field and two (2) years of professional experience in print or broadcast news media, public relations, marketing including the use of electronic media or two (2) years of other relevant professional experience. Minimum/Required Qualifications continued: Experience at WSU or other higher education institution related to generating publications, articles and promotional materials. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends. Ability to travel occasionally. Preferred Qualifications Experience writing science-related material.
