US Pipelines and Logistics own and operate BP's liquid pipelines, terminal facilities and road transportation operations. With facilities throughout the United States. Terminal facilities consist of 70 light-oil terminals in 23 states across the US, most of which produce custom blends of gasoline. The business unit interacts with a number of BP Groups including Integrated Supply & Trading, Refining, Aromatics, Fuels Marketing and Convenience Retail. In support of these interactions, we maintain a strong business relationship with shippers, both affiliate and third party. US Pipelines and Logistics provide highly reliable, low-cost market access and logistical flexibility for its customers. Our strategy is to create integrated logistics value for BP by maintaining high pipeline, terminal and transportation availability, storage flexibility for trading and by securing profitable third-party business to maximize capacity utilization.

The Area Manager (Northeast) will lead the Marine and Terminal operation for Brooklyn, Carteret, Curtis Bay, and Port Newark facilities. The manager will be accountable for the safe and compliant operation of these sites. The main areas of focus will be HSSE delivery, implementation of OMS & COW, efficient Terminal and Marine operations, Maintenance & Reliability of assets, Project Oversight, and Budget Management. The successful candidate will be able to provide leadership and direction to the Terminal Managers at each facility. This position has overall responsibility to lead the implementation in the field of new and existing policy’s and provide coaching, mentoring and guidance to insure the Area is aligned with the East of Rockies PU and USPL.

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 10+ years experience in Operations and Maintenance leadership. - Experience communicating and interfacing with all levels of company and outside contacts. - Strong written and verbal communication skills.- Strong PC skills including Maximo, Word, Excel, and Power Point.- Ability to manage conflict with internal and outside sources.- Prior experience leading teams/supervising- Prior experience in labor relations, including contract administration.- Strong knowledge of HSSE practices.- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities concurrently.- Understanding of equipment, reliability, and operational processes.- High School Diploma or GED.- Attention to detail
