Using the proficiencies listed below, the Sr. Systems Administrator will be responsible for the following:
> Assist in information gathering and architecting solutions to fulfill various functional and performance requirements, including but not limited to: storage, networking, and other pieces of infrastructure
> Investigate and troubleshoot issues by determining root cause and remediate application, system, infrastructure issues and take proactive measures to prevent future occurrences
> Adhere to change management procedures, including review, coordination, communication, implementation and follow-up procedures as they relate to industry standard best practices
> Serve as a point of escalation, guidance, training, and mentoring to other administrators
> Configure, and maintain monitoring of systems, applications, and infrastructure leveraging SNMP and centralized monitoring tools and/or custom scripting as needed
> Document systems designs, configuration, and troubleshooting guidance by writing and diagraming relevant information and creating environmental handbooks
> Communicate updates and issues in a direct and timely manner via email, phone, tickets, and in person > Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
Linux/Unix: > Manage physical and virtual Linux servers at Enterprise Scale: RHEL 5.1-6.3, CentOS 5.0-6.3, SLES 9-11, and Ubuntu 10.04.5 LTS
> Manage Unix systems: IBM AIX 5.3-6.0 and Solaris 10 (including ZFS and Zones) in an enterprise environment
> Administrate various application stacks: Apache/Tomcat, Passenger, MySQL, Oracle, JasperReports, as well as eDiscovery and email archiving applications
> Manage infrastructure such as OpenLDAP, and VMWare VSphere ESX 4.x,5.x, and VCloud > Implement automation of tasks through scripting: Perl, Bash, sh, ksh, and Ruby
> Implement automation of server provisioning via PXE boot and Kickstart, debian preseed, and CFEngine > Administer backup and recovery systems such as CommVault Networking:
> Using best practices, configure and administer TCP/IP networking, routing, switching load balancing, VLAN, and spanning tree protocol
> Monitor network infrastructure using SNMP, sFlow, and SolarWinds Orion > Configure and administer Cisco IOS, switches, routers, and firewalls
> Strong working knowledge of DNS services Storage:
> Basic knowledge pf storage systems and concepts including SAN, NDMP, NAS, NFS, CIFS, FC, Infiniband > OpenFiler configuration and administration Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
> 5+ years of experience engineering and architecting Linux on an enterprise 5+ years of experience working in a fast paced, high tech, early adaption environment
> 3+ years of experience configuring and administering TCP/IP networking, routing, switching, and load balancing
> Experience implementing, administering, and managing infrastructure such as OpenLDAP
> Working knowledge of SAN Preferred
> Bachelor degree in Computer Science preferred
> Experience with various application stacks such as Tomcat, Passenger, MySQL, Oracle, etc. preferred
> Prior experience in IT in the eDiscovery industry supporting applications such as Relativity, Clearwell, Nuix, etc. a plus.
