This formulation Research Scientist will support early screening through preclinical stage of delivery formulations for oligonucleotide therapeutics. This scientist will perform hands-on laboratory experiments for developing/executing characterization methods to determine the physicochemical property, purity, stability, degradation rate and pathways of formulations consisting of multicomponents such as oligonucleotides, peptides, polymers, lipids, and proteins.
Develop/validate characterization methods in support of formulation development for nucleic acid-based therapeutics. These methods include but are not limited to HPLC (RP, SEC, IEC), Charged Aerosol Detection, LC/MS, DLS, Electrophoresis, Differential Scanning Calorimetry, Isothermo Titration Calorimetry, Florescence technology, etc.
Determine purity, composition, stability, degradation rate, and degradation pathway of formulated products; characterize the physicochemical properties of the formulations such as morphology, thermo phase transition profile, particle size, particle charge, etc.
Analyze and document detailed results; Provide timely and conclusive reports to the team for decision making.
Self-motivated scientist holding B.S degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Pharmaceutical Science related majors with more than 5 years experience or M.S degree with more than 3 years work experience in formulation research and development; Extensive hands-on technical skills in chromatography, and physicochemical characterizations of solutions and nanoparticles. Demonstrated work skills in problem solving, team player, and time management.
