Named the "everything store", Ranch Mart is more than just a neighborhood hardware store. We have a large gourmet housewares department in addition to a new outdoor garden center building in a newly remodeled shopping center.

Qualifications: High school/GED and some college education or college degree. Available to work weekends, holidays & some evenings (store is open 8am - 9pm daily, and is open 364 days per year.) In good health capable of spending time on the floor Familiarity with Ace system preferable - basic computer skills Product knowledge and/or experience in hardware, paint, lawn/garden, plumbing and electrical important At least 6 years prior retail experience (preferably in hardware/hard lines) Possess high level of initiative, proactivity, strong work ethic and good time management skills. Also a person of high integrity, trustworthiness and respect for others.

Job summary: The Store Manager's primary responsibility is to direct the daily retail operations of a 23,000 square foot store, insure customers are efficiently and courteously served, and assign and oversee the completion of those tasks and responsibilities delegated to the store team. Job description: Maintain excellent customer/community relationships!

Supervise the general operations of the entire store. Supervise assistant store managers and department managers and 60+ employees. Hire and train employees to insure highest efficiency and productivity in all departments and maximize their talents and optimum performance. Assign counter and departmental duties to all employees including part-time.

Oversee time scheduling of all employees. Adjust personnel and inventory as needed to prepare for advertising and promotional campaigns and seasonal differences. Maintain appropriate inventory levels to ensure product availability as well as store profitability. Overall responsibility for store safety and security; safeguarding both assets and consistently working toward maintaining a secure environment for customers and employees.

Maintain safe opening and closing procedures. Resolve customer and employee complaints in a prompt, orderly and documented fashion. Oversee bi-weekly orders and order advanced seasonal bulletins Insure accurate receiving and timely stocking of merchandise. Oversee shipping & defective claims.

Oversee educational training program. Supervise merchandise displays for maximum sales efficiency and create in store traffic building campaigns and resets. Maintain store appearance. Work with merchandising team regarding price and margin maintenance and distribution of hot sheets and price adjustments.

Conduct regular store meetings. Complete annual performance reviews for store team members. Establish department and sales goals. Analyze financial data and plan adjustments accordingly to reach those goals.

Meet every other month with owners to explain problems, share major decisions and review profit/loss statements. Awareness of competition - pricing, ads, promotions, etc. Other responsibilities as assigned.
