Network Management is the team responsible for the strategy, planning, design, construction, and event management for Capital One’s retail branches and digital bank cafes. This team executes all aspects of the 5 year strategic plan

The Market Planning, Transaction and Event Management team is accountable for managing and executing all aspects of the 5 year strategic plan for the retail bank real estate portfolio. In addition, the team supports the day-to-day activity of all new branch launches, relocations, and consolidations. With over 900+ retail locations, the team is accountable for optimizing a portfolio of $1+ BB in real estate and $120+ MM in annual lease expenses annually.


The right individual for this role will demonstrate significant leadership in transaction management and real estate administration. They will have a deep background and expertise in real estate management, including the negotiation and management of leases, vendor management for payment systems. They also have a high degree of risk management experience, having the ability to review leases and work in close partnership with legal partners.. They will have a history of good business judgment to drive and execute an agenda in the face of uncertainty and a fluid environment. .Most of all, the individual has to be fired up by the idea of ‘winning’ in the market and beating the competition and go the extra mile to make that happen. As a member of a close knit small team, the person will be expected to be flexible and wear multiple hats. Responsibilities will include:

This role will act as the head of Transaction Management, whose responsibilities will include three key items:

- Leader of the Transaction Managers, who perform the day-to-day activities working with Legal, real estate landlords, and the broker community.

- Leader of the Real Estate Administration team, which is accountable for the monthly and annual payments to landlords and appropriate states and municipalities.

- Accountable for any new initiatives that may impact transaction management, including the broker scoring and selection process, dispositions management, and legal prioritization.

Preferred Qualifications:

Significant experience (5+ years) in retail real estate (preferably banking), specifically business and commercial segments

5+ Years of Lease Administration with 200+ properties

5 + Years of Transaction Management

Knowledge of retail market segment

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills

Strong interpersonal skills including negotiations and transactional support

Solid communication and presentation skills, both written and oral

Team and project management potential, including ability to handle multiple concurrent projects
