We have a unique opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Systems Administrator (SA). This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization outside the continental US in Afghanistan. This position is required to travel outside the continental US for a minimum of one year.
The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users and will report directly to the Principal Systems Engineer Team Lead.
Specifically the SA will be responsible for supporting systems and applications on a geographically dispersed Windows 2003 and 2008 network with multiple types of servers and server applications. The SA will be responsible for Windows system administrator functions supporting a global Active Directory (AD) infrastructure in a mixed Windows and UNIX environment. The SA will provide senior level knowledge and Tier 2/3 support to the customer and their components to include Tier 2/3 infrastructure troubleshooting and support that involves the configuration and administration of several hundred servers in their area of operation. Additionally, the SA will provide remote support and/or travel to customer servers and sites as required. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting the "Command Post of the Future" structure and manners of operations. Using this knowledge the SA administration and maintenance support of this system.
: Be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)
: Must be willing/able to work outside the continental US for minimum of one year
: Security + Certification
: 4+ years of experience in Systems Administration work
: Good communication skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through
: Experience maintaining Windows 2003 and 2008 servers and Windows workstations.
: Experience supporting Command Post of the Future concepts and configurations
: CISSP Certification
: MCITP or equivalent certification
: ITIL v3 Foundation Certification
This is an exempt position with straight time overtime and incentive bonus.
