High Level Job Description:
Responsible for supporting both VP’s of Brand Management and acting as assistant project manager for 13 artists and comedians as well as various special projects and releases. Responsible for assisting with the development and execution of marketing campaigns with the goal of enhancing artists’ album, track, and video sales and streams; merchandise sales; online communities; and national awareness. Additionally, this person will assist with the administrative duties of the Brand Management department.

Detailed Job Description/ Responsibilities:
Work with VP’s of Brand Management to develop long-range plans for artist development and image branding, album & single release cycles. Additionally, assist VP’s of brand management with development and execution of plans to increase national awareness, online communities, merchandise sales, and back catalog downloads & streams catalogs or partner in product development of an individual release.

Special Products (music, merchandise and online) development, marketing and monetization

Artist/Manager communication and interaction

Work with VP’s of Brand Management to develop solicitation materials including one sheets, project tools and updates. Communicate VP’s Brand Management’s vision to the design team, and work with manufacturer/printer to receive physical product. Help to provide every department with the marketing materials they need to complete their job.

Keep marketing director abreast of production deadlines by knowing where we are in the process of delivery.

Produce and analyze weekly reports that evaluate the impact of marketing initiatives and radio airplay on artists’ music and merchandise sales, streams, and online community growth

Answer phones

Set-up and coordinate meetings

Maintain artist calendars (including all tour) and marketing calendars internally

Process Marketing Invoices and maintain artist marketing budgets

Takes notes and participates in planning meetings.

Provide weekly project update information to entire staff on individual artists

Know overall artist and project marketing strategy.

Coordinate with all (A&R, Consumer & Interactive Marketing, Creative, Publicity, Promotion, Sales, Strategic Partnerships & e-Commerce) departments to support marketing campaigns.

Constantly monitor competition, identify opportunities and recommend ideas that can be leveraged for our business.

Additional tasks as assigned by supervisor as other departmental opportunities arise; Assists with a variety of scheduled and unscheduled projects occurring in the department at any given time.

Required Competencies/Skills:
General computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional with emphases in Outlook and Excel

Basic technical knowledge and experience with HTML preferred

Must be adept at navigating social network sites.

Must understand marketing principles and community building.

Must have an understanding of and familiarity with web analytics programs and services.

Must be skilled at planning, organizing, and assisting with complex projects.

Education Required/Preferred:
Bachelor degree preferred (especially in marketing, communication, music business, etc.)
