Technology Transfer and Product Development Manager
(Material Science)
A well known chemical company in Milwaukee, WI is
seeking a senior level manager to join their Material
Science marketing team in the role of Senior Technology
Transfer and Product Development Manager. This is a
permanent role with a very impressive benefit and
compensation package. This international company is
seeking a very experienced individual to work in
conjunction with product management, R&D and business
unit management to support and influence business
decisions that will define the technical direction of
the business.
Essential Functions of the Position
  • This individual will be responsible for all of the
licensing and partnerships in the material sciences
business.
  • Communicate business objective and needs with
marketing, R&D, and legal support groups
  • Coordinate and assemble reports of new product
opportunities including intellectual property
assessment
  • Network with business development reps of companies
and university with new technologies and products
  • Develop/validate cash flow projection models for
competitive analysis of new opportunities
  • Lead new product development and technology roadmap
of the company’s Materials Science Milwaukee R&D
team.
Requirements
  • Must have an advanced degree in Materials
Science/Materials Chemistry
  • Must have significant business experience in the
high technology sector (emphasis in nanotechnology,
or advanced polymer material)
  • Must have extensive experience in licensing and
technical agreements
  • Must understand how to build and maintain client
relationships
  • Must be able to communicate, in a clear and concise
manner, to all departments involved
  • Startup experience is a plus
  • MBA with emphasis on entrepreneurship and innovation
management is a plus
