Assesses the educational needs of clinical staff and develops instructional opportunities.
Provides support services to ensure quality patient care.
Works closely with the Director of Program Integrity to; design, implement and evaluate orientation for all clinical staff based on company standards and scope of practice for each discipline.
Lead resource for staff questions pertaining to complex patient concerns.
Lead resource to Patient Care Managers and Patient Care Secretaries for Misys computer applications. Assists with development of educational resources for facilities and marketing staff.
Determines educational priorities based on QAPI analysis.
Evaluates outcomes of educational endeavors to determine effectiveness.
Maintains current knowledge of standards, regulatory requirements, new equipment technology and trends affecting the interdisciplinary delivery of hospice care.
Coordinates scheduling for new employees and shadowing opportunities.
Handles difficult situations with tact and professionalism.
Responds to questions regarding IC D9 codes and billing regulations.
Maintains confidentiality of all patient and employee information according to HIPAA regulations.
Oversees mentorship and completion of orientation process.
Documents educational activities and maintains accurate records.
Communicates opportunities for quality improvement and implements changes as instructed.
Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school)
Two to four years related experience
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Profiency in Microsoft Office Applications
Certificates & Licenses
Active RN license in good standing. Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse Preferred.
Ability to plan, organize, develop, and deliver curricula for adult learners.
