Conducts individual and group counseling sessions in order to assist individuals in gaining insight into personal problems. Collects, organizes and records data on client and composes report of clinical progress noted. Provides instruction and direction to clients. Participates in client evaluation and identification of treatment goals by observing, reporting and interpreting patient behavior and progress. Develops and provides feedback on referral sources and arranges services with many different vendors. Administers and interprets standardized tests. Observes subjects for unusual behavior. Interviews clients for needs assessment. Conducts presentations for community groups. Consults with staff on interpretation of statutes, regulations and procedures. Reviews and evaluates case material and service regulations.
Minimum and Additional Requirements:
Experience in a relevant program area.
A 10th grade education and one (1) year experience in resident care; or successful completion of advanced nursing service training and two (2) years experience in resident care; or any combination of training and experience that would enable an applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities. Appplicant must have Long Term Care Nurse Aide Certification.
