The Corporate Controller Group (CCG) is comprised of several groups that are committed to supporting business processes with a high level of integrity and credibility through developing, influencing and implementing global financial policy and process and effective partnering.
The Revenue Accounting Team is responsible for revenue accounting, compliance, management reporting, and forecasting of revenue deferrals. The goal is to provide global product and services revenue accounting in an effective, holistic, and compliant way to meet the needs of our customers.
The Revenue Accounting Team partners closely with the Corporate Revenue, Sales and Services Finance, Supply Chain Finance, Corp FP&A, and other Theatre FP&A teams.
•Partners with global and local finance and operations teams for monthly execution of accounting and ensures revenue reserves are managed and accounted for in an accurate and timely manner
•Responsible for balance sheet (B/S) reconciliation for all accounting entities and partners with local teams for reconciliation of activities
•Supports our business partners in execution of short and long term forecasts and provides value-added biz insight, metrics, and commentary to finance stakeholders for B/S, P/L, and margin activity
•Responsible for upload of Theatre and product mgmt. reporting each fiscal month
•Engages business operations and IT for system issues, root cause analysis, and closure of issues
•Assists with all SOX related documentation, narrative, and testing activities
•Interacts with external auditors
•Financial Analysis and general accounting experience (essential)
•Solid technical knowledge of US GAAP accounting and Sarbanes Oxley SOX (essential)
•Knowledge of Excel, Oracle Financials, Business Object, Essbase (essential)
•Program management skill set and experience (advantageous)
•Team player (essential)
•Good communicator with the ability to influence business partners (essential)
•Strong problem solving skills and analytical abilities (essential)
•Attention to detail (essential)
•Able to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meeting deadlines
Education and certifications:
•Minimum of 5 years work experience in an accounting or providing financial support to business groups
•Large Multi-National company or technology sector experience
•CPA, MBA (desired not required)
