In addition to General Surgery, Neurology and Urology services, specialty services available at UH Geneva Medical Center include an Intensive Coronary Care Unit, the Center for Comprehensive Pain Management, UH Harrington-McLaughlin Heart & Vascular Institute, Center for Advanced Sleep Medicine, Orthopaedics Center, Center for Women’s Health, and a medical office building with a dedicated team of primary and specialty care physicians on staff.

The APN is responsible for providing clinical leadership through:

- Specialized age specific direct care
- Education

- Consultation

- Critical thinking/research

- Administrative Support

Education/Expertise APN I (see below) :

Master of Science in Nursing with emphasis on clinical practice. Skill in interpersonal relationships; competence in providing leadership.

Required Credentials, Licensure or Certification (i.e. CNP, CNS):

- Current R.N. license to practice in Ohio

- Advance practice degree

- Certificate of Authority to Practice

- Professional Certifications as required by OBN- additional certifications preferred

Experience & Knowledge:

Demonstrated competence as a practitioner. Effective oral and written communication skills.

Special Skills & Equipment Knowledge:

A variety of technical patient care devices specific to the clinical area. Computers and selected office equipment.
