High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Provide information and assistance to all callers. Transfer calls to correct locations in a timely manner. Assist with overhead announcements and operate LCU internal paging information. Initiate and support timely Medical Center emergency code responses. Maintain clinical and administrative on-call schedules, monitor and update changes as requested. Department is open on a 24/7 basis and may require staff to work additional hours or shifts as deemed necessary. High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred. Excellent telephone etiquette, 2-4 years customer service experience, telephone or call center experience and proper pronunciation. Ability to handle critical/emergency phone calls and code procedures. Code and emergency calls must be expedited in a timely and professional manner, ensuring that accurate information is retained, logged into information book and relayed over public address system. Ability to do multiple tasks at once with minimal supervision. Experience with switchboard console equipment and in-house paging system. Pleasant phone demeanor, Customer friendly and must be able to sit for long periods of time. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be accustomed to answering multiple phone lines. Basic computer skills are essential.
