Business Process Outsourcing
Our business unit provides support in three major areas: business process services, where we perform the actual function that the process is related to; business process related software, that helps us manage the various components, the systems associated with the software in the process; and then there is a business process management which is used to help design and track the performance of the specific business process. The business units work supports primarily the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of State, and the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. We support our clients with a work force of over 2600 Serco and Serco subcontractor employees and provide mission critical support services that primarily support Immigration, Visa Processing and Commerce.
Require a personable hands on project manager to oversee a staff of up to 9 writers and technical staff to support a well-managed content management system with updates to manuals with proper records management practices. Experience with previous content management projects is needed to deliver online documentation, business analysis and business process reengineering skills, experience developing and managing project plans that effectively manage both human and financial resources within specified time frames and budget.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support the agency’s content management efforts to enhance the efficiency, consistency, and speed in which content is delivered to users. The effort also focuses on improving the user’s ability to effectively search, find, understand and locate relevant content necessary to fulfill their jobs.
Key client responsibilities
1) Regular publishing, technical support and project management activities related to the ongoing maintenance and development of manuals and providing instructions to allow the manual content owners to update and publish their content unaided:
2) Provide training and support to the content management tool users involved in effors related to manual content and application help, training and technical documentation development: and
3) Work with designated personnel within OIT in facilitating the implementation of a standard documentation of a standard documentation/authoring tool for the agency.
Required Skills and Experience
Certified Project management Professional or relevant and current Project Management Skills and abilities in accordance with the Project Management Institute PMBOK
Experience with Government Contracting and working with COTR and key client Program Managers (stakeholders) Familiar with various contract type experience with FFP preferred.
