United Oil would like to enhance our customers experience while visiting our Gas stations/Convenience store by opening a cookie bakery located inside our Gas Station Convenience Stores. The cookie bakery will offer good quality cookies at affordable prices as well as ice cream cookie sandwiches! We are currently seeking a full-time Pastry Baker needed for the Cookie Bakery in San Diego, CA. We want someone who is well organized, clean, detail oriented, efficient and able to maintain high standards of pastry making. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the execution of our cookie recipes, including timing, quality, temperature, portion, and presentation. If you feel you are a good candidate please apply!
Responsibilities:
Knowledge of pastry techniques, scaling, mixing, proofing, baking, decorating and finishing.
Knowledge and understanding of tools, measurements, ingredients, equipment and cooking required for a bakery.
Ability to prepare products according to recipe guidelines.
Knowledge and understanding of kitchen safety and sanitation including temperature requirements.
Has good judgment of food quality and production, understands the impact of spoilage.
Able to manage a team and ensure that staff adheres to all Food Safety and sanitation procedures.
Engage customers forming relationships, soliciting feedback and ensuring satisfaction to solidify customer loyalty.
