Vice President of Sales, Miami and Latin AmericaResponsible for an international sales and distribution center in Miami, Florida, and its assigned business units. The 30,000 square foot facility supports a 25,000 square foot warehouse, staffed by five operations and quality personnel, a six person brokering and rotables business unit, and an 11 person regional sales team. Maintains full P L responsibility for the center, including a $2.7 million O M budget, $31 million in annual sales, and $7 million in inventory. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides direction and leadership for subordinate departmental managers and assigned administrative, accounting and support staffProvides leadership and support for the regional sales business unit through theDirector of Sales, Florida and Latin America. Establishes goals and accountabilities for inside and outside salesteams, monitors performance to goal, initiates corrective action and countermeasures as applicableProvides leadership and support for the brokering and rotables business unit through the Director of Asset Management Programs. Establishes goals and accountabilitiesfor the business unit, monitors performance to goal, initiates corrective action and countermeasures as applicable.Supports the Director of Asset Management Programs in developing and executing the strategy for rotable unit sales, exchanges, and repair management; brokered sales, and consignment inventory salesOversees the operations and quality functions of the distribution center through theQuality and Operations Manager, including inventory management, order fulfillment, quality audits, and continuous improvement programsEvaluates rotable inventory investment opportunities, approves new sources of supply (vendors) for brokered and rotable salesOversees facility maintenance contracts and overall facility upkeep and operational capability.Ensures personnel are adequately trained to perform the tasks they are assigned. Administers corporate policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations and requirements.Responsible for the health and welfare of assigned employees while at work, and for providing a safe work environment QualificationsThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Problem solving and root cause analysis are key to this position. Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and establish course(s) of action to correct substandard performance or conditions is necessary. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: To perform this job successfully this person must have problem solving skills,organizational skills, self motivated, and be able to conduct in a professional conversation with customers, suppliers and their peers. Must be fluent with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Access, and Powerpoint. Additional proficiency with MS Project, Lotus Notes, Visio; and other software as applicable. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee tosuccessfully perform the essential functions of this job.Is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands andarms; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; and lift up to 10 pounds.Is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, orfeel.Is frequently required to talk or listen.Works in moderate noise levels. Education Requirements: Must have an MBA, or Masters degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. Five years aerospace industry experience is a must. Spanish speaking ability is a significant benefit, though not required.
