Essential Job Functions
Develop, engineer, and maintain monitoring solutions on complex enterprise networks with multiple sites.
Develop reports from monitoring solutions to provide to senior management.
Serves as a technical subject matter expert of enterprise network monitoring toolsets and interacts with network services, software systems engineering, system administrators, and applications administrators to determine monitoring requirements.
Ability to train staff to use monitoring solutions.
Shift work required.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or related field preferred
Six or more years of experience in a client-server environment
Experience working with appropriate complex systems administration, database administration, and landscape maintenance
Experience working with company products and services
Experience working with company and client documentation and storage procedures
Experience working with complex system implementations and organizational processes
Other Qualifications
Experience working with computer hardware for installation and upgrades
Experience working with software installation/upgrading procedures
Experience working with file and system maintenance procedures
Three of more years experience administrating What’s up Gold
Must have and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance
Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work
Must reside locally or be willing to relocate at own expense
Analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot system’s problems
Communication skills to communicate with support personnel, customers, and managers
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience with java scripting and SQL a plus
Experience administrating Nagios or HP Openview a plu
Microsoft Server Certifications a plus
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Good communication skills
Good personal computer and business solutions software skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
