As the Engineering Leader for all of Kohler's Vikrell products and processes, you'll serve as a critical member to the New Product Development community. Reporting to the Director-Engineering, you'll provide technical direction and will coach Engineering design discipline as it applies to product design, development, and improvement.

Specific responsibilities include:
  • Developing, teaching, and championing design engineering procedures, tools, and techniques:
  • Participate in design engineering reviews of project tasks
  • Coach to ensure informed decisions are made concerning technical content of projects
  • Remain up-to-date on best practices and recommend new approaches, tools, technologies and products
  • Providing requisite technical expertise:
  • Develop and mentor Engineering resources to be highly skilled in the design engineering discipline
  • Recruit and hire product engineering resources
  • Actively seeking update knowledge of the Engineering profession, the industry, and application of new technologies.

Success begins with a Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Masters degree preferred) and 6-10 years of mechanical or electromechanical product design experience in a concurrent engineering environment.

Likewise, 2-4 years experience in proactively teaching/coaching less experienced Engineers in robust engineering techniques and tools is required. The specific level for this role can be flexed to either a Group Lead or Manager-Engineering, depending on experience and capability.
