The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) is recruiting for an academic nephrologist to join our faculty as a clinical educator in the Division of Nephrology/Medicine Service. Candidates must be a BC/ BE physician in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Previous training in and/or experience in home dialysis and evidence of recognition as an educator is preferable.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

U.S. Citizenship
Full unrestricted Licensure, Certification, or Registration required.
Must pass pre-employment examination.
Designated and/or Random Drug Testing required.
Background and/or Security Investigation required.

English Language Proficiency required. DUTIES:
Clinical educator in the Division of Nephrology/Medicine Service.

DUTY LOCATION: CENTRAL ARKANSAS VETERANS HEALTHCARE SYSTEM, LITTLE ROCK CAMPUS

TOUR OF DUTY: MONDAY - FRIDAY, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; work schedules may vary depending on the needs of the service.

Relocation Expenses: Relocation expenses are not authorized for this position.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • U.S. Citizenship (Non-citizens may be appointed only if it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens)
  • Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Must be board certified or eligible.
Preferred Experience:
  • Previous training in and/or experience in home dialysis and evidence of recognition as an educator is preferable
