Director of Sales Opportunity Available at hotel leadership team with a nationally recognized hotel in the local market. We are seeking an individual who can maximize hotel revenues daily; someone who can initiate the revenue forecasting process for all departments on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly basis; someone who will generate weekly and monthly forecast critiques and identify areas of opportunity; someone who will assist a local hotel in its strategic planning. Job Description: * report to general manager * maintain sales awareness throughout property * consistently monitor results to goals * ensure customer satisfaction * build morale and spirit * consistently solicit new customers and develop new business * block guest and meeting accommodations * create contracts and implement sales plans * involved with local community to develop business * interact with all departments and participate in sales meetings * spend minimal time in office, make field presentations to prospective clients
  • clear and concise written and verbal communication skills * time management, listening, organization skills * computer skills * thorough knowledge of sales techniques * detail in follow-up, excellent phone sale skills * responsibility/accountability * consistently meet or exceed sales goals * work with limited support * resolve problemsExperience: * 2 years of hotel sales experience required * High school diploma or equivalent * Hospitality degree a plus
