Responsible for the timely preparation, planning and submission of IACUC protocols for the Vanderbilt Program in Drug Discovery (VPDD) using e SIRIUS. Oversees and submits all animal orders for VPDD. Collaborates closely with all faculty and staff regarding all aspects of the protocol submission process. Interfaces closely with the IACUC during the protocol submission process. Candidate must be highly organized and detail oriented and the ideal candidate would have some scientific background as well as administrative experience. Must be able to meet critical deadlines, work well under pressure, and handle multiple projects. Must have the ability to work well in a team setting.
Management of IACUC protocols to include:
Establish working relationships with investigators and staff to facilitate protocol submissions.
Work as part of a project team in the development, submission, and tracking of protocols.
Interface closely with IACUC
Processing and tracking of all animal orders and charges to ensure accuracy
Training and staff development to include:
Communication regarding guideline and procedures
Creates and maintains employee training files
Identifies deficiencies and discrepancies and provide training as needed
Job requires Associates and 2 years of experience or the equivalent.
