Responsible for participating in the development, maintenance and enhancement of an SAP CRM application. Incumbent will be assigned to individual assignments, as well as project teams and production support under the leadership and tactical supervision of a project leader or production support lead, incumbent will collaborate with clients, staff, IT and other stakeholders; identifies and documents user requirements and design, assesses available technologies, and recommends solution options. Responsible for developing labor estimates which cover lifecycle phases of a project. Develops test plans and test data for unit testing. Incumbent will be required to perform work at the highest technical level within this job family. Incumbent will work closely with SAP Process Designers to assist in the transformation of business requirements into module configuration steps and custom development. This position requires the incumbent to develop an understanding of the business implications of SAP configuration changes as well as the challenges associated with interfacing SAP to other legacy systems. Effective change control measures will be applied to work performed in the development, enhancement and maintenance of the affected SAP modules. Formulates and defines application scope and objectives, defines or modifies configuration/custom objects. Advises on options for standard vs. custom objects to solve business problems. Maintains expertise with production operations, as well as established priorities and sequences. Responsible for off-hour support when on-call or during key project activities. Develops business relationships and integrates activities with other IT areas to ensure successful implementation and support for project efforts. Fosters and maintains good relationships with IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels. This position reports to a Software Development Manager or a SAP Project Manager. Has no direct report of staff responsibility. Has regular contact with peer workers in business units and IT Personnel. Has contact with outside vendors, industry peers, and professional associates to keep informed of existing and evolving industry standards and technologies.

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, management information systems or computer science.
The position requires at least 2 years of experience in developing and maintaining SAP systems with 2 years specifically with SAP-CRM version 5.0.
Experience in ABAP Technologies - ABAP Workbench, ABAP Data Dictionary, Report Programming, Data Migration, Screen Programming. Smartforms, Authorizations, BADI’s, BAPI’s, Performance Tuning, and debugging a plus.
Translating business requirements to SAP functional and technical designs.
Analyzing existing ABAP programs and function modules to verify conformance to requirements.
Completing development activities such as coding, testing, documentation and maintenance support for SAP Custom Development solutions.
Participate in project quality management tasks such as peer and quality reviews of specifications, design documents and code reviews.
Communicate project status according to project communication plan.
Escalate issues well in advance with suggested alternative approaches.
Performing and documenting impact analyses and development estimates for change requests.
Experience with all core customizing types – RICEF.
Ownership or significant contributions to help define internal cross-team work processes.
Experience with SAP middleware processes – ALE, IDOC, CRM middleware/BDocs. Preferred skills:
Experience working in both project and production support environments.
Knowledge on ABAP topics: Webdynpro ABAP, Object Oriented ABAP, ALE/IDOC, Workflow, Database Updates, Enhancements & Modifications, BDC, and BSP (Business Server Pages).
CRM7.0 development experience will be a plus.
Java development, TCO connectors, WebDynpro and Iview development a plus.
Exposure to Business Objects and Crystal reports a plus.
