Please Note

Flexible schedule, some nights and weekends are required.

Attend, deliver and oversee catering events to ensure quality set-up and service is being provided. Produce pull lists for each event which includes all necessary supplies, equipment and event times. Supervise and participate in the production of all scheduled events, including the coordination of internal department staffs, pull list production, staffing needs and event timing.

Train, mentor and develop catering service staff in the knowledge and understanding of catering practices and procedures. Implement standardized training manual. Ensure that all staff receives continued training to meet the expectations of caterings' client base. Schedule staff for all Catering functions. Publish job opportunities to non-benefited staff and accept staff requests to work individual events. Maintain employee time reports for accuracy through Kronos Time Management and have all hourly employees sign off on monthly time card reports.

Responsible for ordering, rotating and stocking of bottled beverages, weekly linen order, disposable products and misc. non-perishable supplies (sterno, crackers, condiments, etc.). Produce "pull lists" of necessary items for events, Ensure health, safety, labor, and alcohol regulations are implemented and followed.

Manage service labor and maintain labor cost. Produce and review all billing invoices of catered events on a weekly/monthly basis using the database Event Master. Maintenance of the Event Master Data Base, additions, deletions and current pricing. Participate in financial planning including yearly budget and monthly Profit and Loss Statements.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and two years of experience in catering, retail dining and/or university dining or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Valid Driver's License with a motor vehicle record that is compliant with the University Vehicle Use Policy Found at:

Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

ServSafe training or the ability to pass ServSafe within 6 months.
