A well established privately owned investment management company seeks a Fixed Income Investment Operations Manager to come in and manage a group of 5-6 employees who oversee account and trade reconciliations. Your leadership talents will be instrumental in making sure that fellow colleagues understand and abide by company wide policies and procedures. You will also assume responsibility in ensuring the integrity of critical account data used for investment management and trades. The Operations Manager will have significant interaction internally with traders, portfolio managers, and the client service teams as well as assume oversight of numerous relationships with multiple custodians. Your financial expertise and influence will spread across this corporation through overseeing portfolio and accounting systems in addition to engaging in the development of new technology initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a background in custody, fund accounting, or buy-side investment operations with strong knowledge of fixed income investments including derivatives. The candidate must have strong leadership skills including 2-3 years of management experience in which he / she has managed other supervisors. Any progress towards a CFA or MBA would be preferred.

- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
- 4-6 years of experience working in an investment operations department.
- Minimum of 2 years managing a small to mid-sized staff including supervisors.
- Sound understanding of fixed income securities and standard office automation packages.
- Comprehension of multi-currency and multi-base portfolio accounting.
