Responsibilities: The Water/Wastewater Operator I will be responsible for plant inspection, operation, sample collection, lab analyses, minor repairs and maintenance, process control review and adjustment, data analyses, record keeping . Performs a variety of tasks in the operation and maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment plant including maintenance of equipment, quality control/testing and day-to-day activities on an assigned shift. This position typically holds or is working towards an intermediate level water/wastewater treatment certification. Please contact Holly Lewis for more information.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GEDTwo years experience in operating water/wastewater treatment plantsPossess a valid drivers licenseBasic familiarity of the principles and practices of water/wastewater treatment plant operations; operating principles of valves, pumps, and motors; principles and methods of bacteriological and chemical sewage analyses; effects and problems of industrial waste in water/wastewater treatment processes; safe work practicesKnowledge of computer software including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, data management systems and be able to operate plant PLCs and SCADA systemsTCEQ wastewater treatment plant operator's certification minimum 'C'.
