As the lead HR Coordinator this position, this position supervises the HR Service Center line to respond to employee’s inquiries. Primary duties include providing the lead for knowledge and information in answering HR questions and other support to Magellan employees through the HR Service Center. Administers Magellan’s Educational Assistance Program for all employees. Participates in special projects providing support to acquisitions and implementations. Actively assesses overall operational processes and makes recommendations to improve department efficiency.
Supervises Payroll/Benefit/HR Inquiry Line, monitors and tracks calls to ensure rapid response is obtained. Responds to tier 1 and 2 inquires (benefits, payroll, learning policy, etc.) from employees; escalates when necessary.
Supervisory responsibility for 2 HR Coordinators including workload management, scheduling, and reporting of HRSC metrics.
- Learning Applications Support (reset passwords, set up user names if needed, guide a user on basic use, etc)
- Direct users to online resources for additional instruction on how to use the systems.
- Responds to subpoenas and meets required deadlines.
- Responds to employment verifications that can not be addressed through the vendor
Administration of the Educational Assistance program which includes:
Orders and tracks Amex Gift cards providing required compliance and audit reporting.
- Collection and organization of applications
- Processing approved applications for payment
- Answer employee questions related to submission, timing and processing of payments.
Provides regular review of MyMagellan data and ensures regular updates so that the information housed there is consistently kept current and up to date.
5 to 8 years of applicable experience
Systems knowledge and expertise in Ultimate Software and Cognos reporting tools.
Payroll processing methods and practices
Exceptional proven experience in customer service support
Other: Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and work under tight time lines; able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing; good attention to detail; able to maintain confidentiality; customer focused; able to work independently and as part of a team.
Must have outstanding verbal communication skills, as well as excellent organizational skills.
Computer Skills: Proficient with MS Office Software, Ultipro HR systems, Cognos reporting systems.
: Strongly prefer experience in human resource office
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Basic knowledge of Human Resources: Knowledge of HRIS, In house payroll management and ability to take data and create efficient reporting tools
