Information Technology Helpdesk Technician: Answers the Information Services department helpdesk telephone calls and monitors online ticket submissions. Assists callers and/or opens and assigns helpdesk tickets as appropriate. Collects applicable information from callers, triages reported issues, works with users to resolve issues and assigns issues to appropriate service personnel. Responds to user inquiries regarding access to systems, applications and other technology resources. Performs preliminary troubleshooting and documents steps taken to reach resolution or escalates to other service personnel. The ability to provide outstanding customer service, communicate technical information to non-technical staff, and be highly organized are essential in this position.Full time position - 40 hours/week; variable days shifts
