Ingersoll Rand’s Climate Solutions sector delivers energy-efficient HVACR solutions for customers globally. This position works with customers, including field sales offices, to establish communication connections between installed Trane Tracer Controls Systems and Trane Intelligent Services tools. Success requires expert level knowledge of Tracer Controls communication protocols, IP protocols, modem set up, monitoring center procedures and contract requirements, as well as, extensive knowledge of HVAC systems to interface with field offices on quality control, programming and alarm set up issues. Knowledge of alarm monitoring standards, tools, processes and TIS systems must be applied in an effective and consistent manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
∙ Coordinate the connection of Tracer Control Systems to TIS technology tools, including support of field sales offices in preparation of proposals and other customer communications
∙ Write clear and executable alarm monitoring protocols and coordinate with the Intelligent Services Center (ISC) monitoring operation on alarm set up and validation activities
∙ Lead, direct and train Technicians to perform new site validation ISC procedures and coordinate with Measurement and Validation team on customer support issues and actions
∙ Serve as focal point of emergency escalation for internal and external customers, operations manager and ISC Technicians
∙ Achieve a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining a pleasant and cooperative attitude with internal and external customers
∙ Maintain currency on Trane product installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair
∙ Ability to meet short term and long term deadlines
∙ Other duties as assigned
PROFICIENCIES INCLUDE:
∙ Control systems Installation and / or operation experience
∙ Understanding of economics and project control measurement processes
∙ Knowledge of facility applied and unitary HVAC systems, control, distribution and electrical systems
∙ Senior Technician level experience with specialized systems such as compressed air, process cooling / heating, etc.
∙ Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and at least two year experience with energy or building management systems
∙ Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with customers, field offices, engineers and technicians
∙ Excellent written, oral and presentation skills required
∙ Ability to work independently without direct supervision in the main parts of this job
