Job Summary:

Responsible for providing varied administrative and clerical support to the institutions’ executive director and the Oakwood Healthcare System Foundation Board. Duties may be complex in nature and may involve access to confidential information; duties may include normal secretarial activities such as typing, word processing, taking dictation, scheduling appointments as well as coordinating Board meetings, committees and activities, etc. Needs the ability to organize and coordinate many tasks and the ability to prioritize daily tasks. This job requires a higher level of independent judgment in determining appropriate solutions to given situations.

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience: Five years of Administrative secretarial experience required, Three to five years experience with volunteer committees or governing body support
  • Skills and Abilities: Able to type 70 wpm, Ability to work with confidential information, Excellent interpersonal skills, Ability to multi-task and to prioritize work to meet deadlines, Must be able to work independently, self-motivated, Strong typing skills with PC aptitude, includes Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel, with experience in Publisher, Access and Project Planning preferred, Excellent telephone and customer contact skills, Excellent verbal and written communication skills, Proven ability to exercise sound judgment, Must be dependable and able to deal with all levels and diversity of people especially Board of Trustees– both internal and external, Flexibility in work schedule, travel between sites and other off-site locatins, Problem solving and resolution capabilities
