We have an immediate opportunity for a General Mechanic 1/C at our Fluorine Products facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana . This position will be working with a great team of highly focused and dedicated technicians.

Responsibilities :
Performing Scheduled and non-scheduled work orders
Performing compliance and scheduled (Preventive Maintenance) PM's
Ensuring plant coverage during off-shift hours
Communicating with planners and order non-stock parts
Reading and understanding manuals, schematics, and P&Ids
Properly using high voltage test equipment
Removing and repairing switch gear
Troubleshoot and repairing motors for motors & motor controls
Will be responsible to know and troubleshoot various types of lighting, lighting fixtures and photo cells
Repairing and calibrating electronic field instrumentation
Will be responsible for understanding and troubleshooting various weigh scale applications including tanks, hoppers and finished product packaging systems
Could possibly be working 12 hour rotating shifts to support a 24/7 operation

Basic Qualifications :
High school Diploma or equivalent
5 years of experience as an Instrumentation & Electrical technician in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Additional Qualifications :
2 Year Technical degree in instrumentation and/or electrical or technical training in the military preferred
5 years of experience as an I&E technician in a chemical manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
Ability to work shift work, including weekends preferred
Working knowledge of process control fundamentals preferred
Working knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCSs) preferred
Working knowledge of Motor controls & start stops preferred
Experience working with ranging & calibrating of instruments 4-20 Milliamps
