Under general supervision, provides direct patient care to children with physical disabilities and/or functional limitations in clinic, inpatient, outpatient and outreach programs. Provides physical therapy evaluation, consultation and intervention services for assigned routine to complex pediatric patients, in accordance with the CCMC patient care delivery model and program policies and procedures. Collaborates with children, families, other health care team members and community resources to implement and coordinate a continuous plan of care, and to educate patients and families in appropriate physical therapy methods. Participates in assigned staff development and research activities. Reports to Manager Rehab Therapies.
Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy required. Master’s Degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years experience in pediatric therapy strongly preferred.
Current State of Connecticut Physical Therapist License required.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/ CPR in adult, child and infant required.
