Real Estate & Facilities Development Project Manager
Project ownership from handoff to completion.
Manages workplace projects, both renovations, new construction and services projects from initiation stage through planning, design and construction.
Drive site selection (as needed) and coordinate real estate acquisition
Be a member of the initial design team that identifies scope, philosophy and programming for the various Facilities projects.
Develops plans and budgets for facilities projects by facility and portfolio.
Direct vendors in the completion of the project, review vendor’s performance and costs and make recommendations as to possible improvements in the selection of vendors or processes.
Communicate with internal stakeholders about project completeness and timeline.
Coordinates with studios and all parties involved in the planning, design, and construction process.
Prepares requests for proposal and conducts all necessary meetings to facilitate engagement of architectural and construction management services.
Prepares documents required by Procurement for construction contracts and monitors Purchase Orders required for all projects.
Prepares contract change orders and monitors execution.
Reviews contract plans and specifications for compliance with appropriate building codes and project requirements.
Monitors and reports on all phases of planning, construction and move management.
Coordinates with facility occupants move-in to new facilities.
Monitors construction contract close-out and maintains documentation files.
Assists in development of new standards of practice for Project Management activities.
Qualifications
Proven experience in global facilities project management across multiple geographies.
Proven leadership experience.
Ability to manage teams & projects in multiple locations.
Strong negotiation skills for service contracts.
AutoCAD experience preferred.
Strong written & verbal communication skills.
Facilities metrics and analysis for operational improvements.
Proven experience in managing multiple projects & budgets over $500k<
Experience of budget control and management.
Understanding of infrastructure systems across multiple geographies.
Proficient in Microsoft applications (Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint).
BS in Facilities or related disciplines required.
Ability to work in a high paced, collaborative environment w/ limited direction.
Ability to plan and organize a team effort.
Effective time management and logical decision-making ability.
Willingness to travel to project sites 75%.
