GeoEngineers is seeking a Staff Water Resources Engineer to support senior staff in the development of river and habitat restoration and other water resource-related projects throughout the Pacific Northwest. Specific job responsibilities include: collection of field data; hydraulic and hydrologic modeling; completion of complex analyses and calculations; development of natural channel restoration concepts; preparation of design drawings; assistance with development of bid plans, specifications and engineers cost estimates and technical report writing, all completed under the supervision of highly competent, supportive senior-level staff.

Position Requirements:

BS in Civil Engineering (MS preferred) with emphasis on Water Resources desired. Licensed EIT or PE, or ability to get licensed within a mutually agreed upon period of time, preferred. 1-3 years of related professional experience, preferably with prior consulting experience. Training and experience must include use of standard 1-dimensional hydraulic models (e.g. HEC-RAS), with preference for candidate with experience with 2-dimensional (2-D) hydraulic modeling. Experience with analysis of flow and sediment dynamics, sediment transport modeling and application of fish and wildlife habitat enhancement in channel design preferred. Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, standard hydrologic, data analysis software and sediment transport modeling preferred. Knowledge of environmental planning and regulations and general knowledge of fisheries biology in the Pacific Northwest desired. Professional-level verbal and written communication skills a must. Valid driver's license required.
