  • Plan and perform installation, testing, operation, trouble-shooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems
  • Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems
  • Manage system resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability
  • Develop and document systems administration standard operating procedures
  • Resolve hardware/software interface & interoperability problems
  • Ensure systems availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency
  • Maintain systems and baseline configuration;
  • Install and integrate systems fixes, updates, and enhancements
  • Ensure the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, & practices in the delivery of systems administration services
  • Provide guidance on server consolidation, virtualization, web services & migration to cloud computing environment
  • Seven (7) or more years of UNIX, especially Linux (Redhat and CentOS)
  • VMWARE
  • NetApp Storage
  • Nagios
  • Spacewalk or Redhat Satellite Server
  • Some familiarity of Oracle, Apache, Tomcat, ColdFusion
  • Good communicator and enthusiastic
  • Can work independently or together on a team
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in an IT related discipline
  • 7 years experience in UNIX system administration; including installationExperience in SOA and virtualization
  • Working knowledge of std. UNIX backup & recovery tools
  • Experience writing shell scripts
