Sr. Director Clinical Operations / Dyad Lead - Inpatient Services and Emergency is expected to
provide leadership and direction to all aspects of Emergency, Urgent Care, ICU, Respiratory Therapy, Med-Surg, and Care Management. This position is ultimately responsibility for partnering with Physician dyads to meet patient needs in accordance with the Fairview mission. This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the delivery of patient care services for the designated Fairview departments. As a member of senior management, this individual contributes to the development of the designated entity’s strategic plans, goals and objectives, represents patient care in system integration activities and other strategic efforts, which affect patient care. As the senior Nursing lead, approves the nursing practice model and supports its implementation in all settings, assures that there is a common philosophy of nursing practice, assures that there is consistency in the standards used to deliver and evaluate nursing care, and assures that all nurses adhere to common standards of competence. Using advanced knowledge and skills, this person creates an environment of collaboration to deliver integrated, quality patient care, skilled competent staff, and easy to use efficient services. Develop and implement operational and capital budgets. Collaborates with executives and medical staff to develop strategic plans for Emergency and Inpatient Services. Works with community services and local EMS to assure continuity of care and provide community support and works with disaster preparedness manager/coordinator. Oversees Emergency Management Trauma Program in collaboration with the Trauma Program Coordinator.
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Masters degree in related field.
Minnesota RN license.
ACLS, BLS, TNCC, CEN, PALS
Five years clinical experience ER/ICU or similar setting.
Past management/leadership experience.
Prior experience as a Nurse Director of Emergency or Inpatient Services
- Computer literacy and knowledge of future impact of computerization of Emergency Services.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize a broad range of data elements.
- Ability to work effectively and with integrate interests of multiple disciplines.
