General Responsibilities:
As an Administrative Staff II with Terracon you will, under direct supervision, prepare reports/proposals/invoices, answer office calls, file and perform other administrative support functions.

Reports to: Administrative Office Manager, Senior Administrative Staff or Office Manager

Position Supervises: None

Essential Functions and Duties:
Uses a computer to type various letters, reports and correspondence.

Maintains files and records of reports, correspondence, and contracts.

Performs various administrative support activities as assigned by the manager.

Responsible for preparing reports and correspondence as appropriate.

Combines data from several sources in order to type reports and post records.

Operates a switchboard. Greets visitors and callers and informs proper employee of incoming call or visitor’s arrival.

Computer input and type routine office correspondence, reports, and statistical data.

Safety Responsibilities:
Complete safety orientation program.

Abide by safety and personal protective equipment policies.

Demonstrate safe work practices and avoid unsafe behaviors.

Drive defensively, avoid preventable accidents and always wear a seat belt.

Attend regularly scheduled safety training.

Report all unsafe conditions to your Supervisor.

Other Duties:
May process incoming and outgoing department, office, or division mail.

May maintain administrative records and furnish information as necessary.

If operating a switchboard is not a primary function of the job, relief on the switchboard will be a backup function of this job.

May perform duties of other Administrative Staff as necessary.

Will perform other office administrative duties as assigned.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Essential Skills/Abilities:
Must be able to type 30 words per minute.

Analytical ability sufficient to gather and interpret data for the solution for non-complex, routine office problems.

Ability to effectively communicate on the telephone and in person.

Knowledge of grammar, punctuation and spelling rules as required.

Work Environment:
Will perform most of the shift in an office setting using a personal computer and telephone. Noise level is usually low to moderate.

Overnight travel may be required with this position.

Education/Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent plus three years related clerical experience.

Associates degree, plus one year related clerical experience.

License/Registration:
Must have valid driver’s license if driving on company business is required.
