Undergrad Software Engineering Intern
Job Description: Candidate will work on the evaluation of performance acceleration technologies using proof of concept setups. Will run server workloads to assess the impact on performance and power efficiency. This would require modification of existing web server workloads to allow wider coverage of possible use cases. Will analyze and present performance and power characterization data collected on these PoC setups. Position lasts through the end of 2013.
B.S. student majoring in CS or EE.
- Proficiency in Java.
- Experience with PHP and C/C++.
- Scripting experience: Shell, Perl, etc.
- Background in computer architecture.
- Some background in Linux and Apache web server architecture is desirable.
- Experience with performance and power characterization tools is desirable.
- Strong data analysis and presentation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
