Golder Associates Inc. is currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer for the Reno office.
Oversight and independent management of projects and project tasks including interpretation of data, analysis, and development of conclusions and recommendations. Candidate will work directly under senior staff and manage junior professional and technical staff. Candidate must have strong technical and analytical skills and demonstrated experience in geotechnical investigations, soil classification, laboratory testing, geotechnical analyses and design, slope stability evaluations, foundation recommendations, mine infrastructure and waste facility development and mine closure design, and report preparation. Numerical modeling of unsaturated soil mechanics and of rock mechanics is preferred. Candidate will be responsible for preparing project proposals, managing projects, and interfacing directly with clients.
This position requires current licensure as a Professional Civil Engineer in the state of Nevada or the ability to obtain through reciprocity. Candidate must have a minimum of 8 years experience. Candidate must have experience independently managing projects. Candidate must be willing to travel domestically and internationally for short-duration to occasional extended assignments at remote locations. Computer proficiency required and AutoCAD preferred. Experience and education in numerical modeling in soil mechanics is required. Candidates must exhibit strong writing skills, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent communications skills.
