Job Description:
Join P.F. Chang's and become our new Director of
Financial Accounting at the Home Office in North
Scottsdale! This position supports the Controller in
maintaining/verifying adherence to GAAP, financial
reporting controls, financial analysis, internal
accounting procedures, and is responsible for all issues
related to the general ledger and fixed assets
sub-ledger. He or she will lead the financial statement
preparation process by overseeing the preparation,
reconciliation and analysis of financial accounts and
activities, and presenting findings and recommendations
to top management.
The ideal candidate would have strong knowledge of fixed
assets and full cycle accounting. The ideal candidate
needs to be highly organized and able to provide
adequate supervision to staff as well as to meet
deadlines in normal daily work and in project work. He
or she will take full responsibility and ownership for
all the financial activities of his/her team, including,
Fixed Assets, COS, Labor, Operating Expenses, Lease
Accounting, Pre-Opening and G & A, while displaying a
passionate commitment to the goals of the team and the
company.

Job Duties:
  • Maintains/verifies adherence to GAAP, financial
reporting controls, financial analysis, and internal
accounting procedures
  • Leads the financial statements preparation process
which will include: preparation, reconciliation and
analysis of financial accounts and activities, and
presentation of findings
  • Organizes, plans, and reviews audit schedules
  • Develops, maintains, and communicates policy and
procedure through the use of current manuals,
meetings, and miscellaneous written and verbal
communication
  • Responsible for reviewing and monitoring the work of
the Financial Accounting management team
  • Develops people by delegating tasks, evaluating
performance, and providing timely feedback with
suggestions for improvement
  • Communicates well with all levels of the
organization and represents Financial Accounting to
our internal and external customers in a
professional and responsive manner
  • Executes and follows policies/procedures of the
Company and completes other duties as assigned
  • Works with Accounting Managers and peers in order to
maintain consistency in processes and procedures,
expectations and standards
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
  • CPA (or CPA candidate) required
  • 7 to 10 years full cycle accounting experience,
preferably in a multi-unit environment
  • 5 to 7 years supervisory experience
  • 5 years fixed assets experience
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including
AX Dynamics accounting software and Atlas
