The Department of Iowa State University Extension and Outreach is seeking qualified candidates for a Program Coordinator I. This position will assist the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Regional Hub Manager with program coordination of the North Central Iowa STEM educational efforts. In addition, this position will be responsible for supporting STEM hub programming, promoting STEM related events, managing grants (budgets and spreadsheets), working with stakeholders to advance STEM efforts, developing databases of various stakeholder groups
The successful candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills along with the ability to work independently, efficiently, and accurately. Independent judgment, initiative, and exceptional ability to coordinate a variety of activities will also be needed to be successful in this role.
Bachelor's degree and two years of relevant professional experience OR a Master's degree and some experience OR a combination of equivalent education and experience totaling six years.
Degree in a STEM field, Marketing, Management, or closely related field.
Additional years of experience.
Experience with STEM interests and activities.
Experience with managing grants, budgets and spreadsheets.
Commensurate with education and experience.
