The Opportunity
Prepare SBA loan guaranty purchase claim packages for submission to the SBA. Ensure that documentation adheres to SBA standards in order to secure a successful claim. Work closely with work-out officers, sales staff, and SBA originations staff to process claims. Requires familiarity with SBA loan policies, Legal proceedings, Bankruptcy rules, Bank loan accounting, and collateral documents.
Primary Responsibilities
Prepare loan purchase packages for submission to the SBA ensuring all required information is included and correct.
Leverage multiple internal Bank systems to recover information related to the claim.
Work closely with work-out officers to ensure collection efforts are properly documented.
Troubleshoot and resolve documentation deficiencies.
Analyze work-out efforts and loan history to support guaranty reinstatement requests to the SBA on .matured loans.
Interact with work-out officers, bank office managers, external SBA personnel and external parties related to the loan claim.
Represent the Bank in discussions with SBA purchase center loan officers.
Monitor delinquent loans for expiring guarantees.
Prepare loan transfer requests.
Service the existing SBA loan workout portfolio which includes processing and justifying guaranty reinstatements with the SBA.
Participate in SBA department projects.
Minimum Qualifications Required
High School or GED required
Three or more years of office / administrative work experience
Good PC skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Office
Math, analytical and complex problem solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Ideal Qualifications Preferred
Associate’s degree level of education or higher
Five or more years previous collections or credit related experience preferred
