ThyssenKrupp is a global leader in carbon and stainless steel with a proven track record of innovation, corporate citizenship, social and environmental responsibility, employee safety, and customer satisfaction.ThyssenKrupp Steel USA is seeking an APO Procurement Specialist to support our developing processing operations in Calvert, Alabama.Our APO (Advanced Planning Optimizer) Specialist will: Communicate slab requirements to corporate planning group based on gross slab requirements from APO netted against existing inventory and open purchase orders. Work with suppliers to ensure open purchase orders reflect planned delivery schedule. Track PO changes made by slab trader to ensure original purchase requirements are managed and changes are made based on mutual agreement. Ensure PO's outside of delivery tolerances where material will not be produced are closed in a timely manner. Assist in trouble shooting APO for demands that are planned late, as well as other issues that may arise. Coordinate with Master Data team to ensure APO master data is properly maintained. Assist as needed with maintaining APO and ECC Master Data. Daily Tasks Performed Follow team guidelines and procedures for purchase order management. Evaluate the procurement results of APO to develop a weekly purchase plan. Communicate with corporate planning: o To ensure purchase order requirements are met. o To ensure purchase order adjustments are aligned with TKS USA requirements. o To ensure purchase orders are closed in a timely manner. As forecast products and planning products are entered in APO, ensure supporting master data is set up properly. Assist in trouble shooting APO.
Our APO Procurement Specialist will have or demonstrate:Minimum Job Relevant Knowledge Good working knowledge of SAP Communication and organizational skills a priority Strong research skills to investigate slab shortages or excess inventories. Minimum Job Relevant Experience 1-3 years corporate experience with a background in procurement and planning. Degree/Certification Required Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or combination of equivalent education and related experience Required Skills Proficiency with MS Office products, especially Excel Strong attention to detail Excellent communication skills Possess analytical, problem solving abilities with a process minded focus Desired Skills and Abilities Prior experience with an SAP-ECC and APO or some other supply chain model, such as i2. Steel industry or other continuous manufacturing experience Ability to monitor and troubleshoot interfaces and clearly communicate issues to IT support. Interest and ability to work at our site operations in Calvert, Alabama.
